  1. Wash and core the plums and pears. Cut the plums in half and the pears into small pieces.
  2. Wash and peel the ginger and dice very finely.
  3. Bring the water, plums and pears to the boil in a pot. Then add all the remaining ingredients and simmer over a medium heat for about 30 minutes. Stir occasionally.
  4. Season again, remove cloves and cinnamon stick, then fill into jars while still hot. Store in the fridge.
