Ralf Schmitz founded Nosh-Pots in 2006, combining two of his greatest passions: exercise and healthy eating. With his idea he supports fresh food after exercising and complements the healthy everyday life with his products. The freshly prepared menus are prepared in glass containers and delivered directly to the customer.
Please introduce your company in three sentences
The fitness plate in a glass. Daily fresh, healthy and sustainable. In Zurich, Basel, Lausanne and at Farmy.ch
What is special about your products and their production?
We produce everything fresh to order. We do not produce foodwaste with this. Thanks to the recyclable glasses we avoid 1.5 tons of plastic
Which channels do you use to sell your products?
We use the online channels noshpots.ch and farmy.ch and offline various zerowaste cafés and fitness centres
Why did you decide to work with Farmy?
By ourselves, we cannot ensure nationwide coverage. With you, we have a suitable partner who shares our values.
How does a normal working day look for you?
Production begins at 5am. Depending on the daily orders, production and bottling will take place. The final order is received at 8 am. The orders received between 5 and 8 a.m. are then produced. At 8 am label printing and route planning starts. By 9 a.m. at the latest, the picking of the different delivery routes starts and at 10 a.m. the couriers leave the kitchen. After delivery, we credit the glasses returned by customers to the respective account. The glasses are washed and prepared for the next day. Some preparations for production on the following day are then made in the afternoon. In addition, we do all administration and order raw materials in the afternoon.
What changes has the crisis brought about for your company?
The crisis means we are not allowed to make deliveries to companies/gyms. Instead, we are experiencing a greater demand for home deliveries.
Do you see potential and opportunities arising from the crisis?
Yes, home deliveries have brought us new customers who did not know us before.
Anything else you’d like to add?
Often we receive a little something from our customers in the return jars — a chocolate, something homemade or a small tip. This practically never happened before. A very nice gesture, which on the one hand expresses gratitude for our service, and on the other hand also stands for supporting small businesses, because they contribute to the diversity of our country.
