Please introduce your company in three sentences
Turicum Distillery GmbH was founded in 2015 out of passion for gin and the city of Zurich and stands for the joy of enjoyment. The focus of all products remains the clear transparency of origin, the high quality and processing of the raw materials used and the innovative design of the end products. Great importance is placed upon exquisite taste, maintaining our unique curiosity and the ability to experience the company. Turicum Distillery GmbH stands for the responsible marketing of spirits and for the responsible enjoyment of alcoholic beverages.
What is special about your products and their production?
Turicum Gin is produced in the heart of Zurich using the small-batch process, i.e. in small series. The London Dry style guarantees that no additives other than botanicals and water are used.
What does a normal working day look like for you?
I try to fill each day in such a way that it doesn’t feel like work — creative and open-minded. Even if this is not always possible, especially when it comes to finances and the like. Here you have to know the limits, haha!

What changes has the crisis brought for your company?
As a start-up you are constantly being challenged and continue to face new challenges. So we see this as just another challenge that has to be mastered.
Have daily processes, routines or even sales channels changed due to the Corona crisis?
Yes, we also had to rethink our approach to master this challenge. However, it is still unclear how much of this remains to be done.
