Smoothies are one of the ultimate summertime staples and delight us throughout the hot days. Now during fall, it’s time to toss in a blender more seasonal veggies. Get ready to invade farmers’ markets! We are here to share some smoothies to feast in the autumn.
Combine sweetness with a hint of pungency
One of the champions among the drinks from a blender is the apple-cinnamon smoothie. It surely will make you crave more since it has all the flavours we love so much. The sweetness of the apples, golden aroma with a hint of pungency of the cinnamon, milkiness of the yoghurt. So without further ado, we bring it to you.
Take 80 gr of Greek yoghurt, 60 ml of milk, 20 gr of oats, 1 sweet apple (skinned and cored), ¼ tsp of cinnamon, a pinch of salt. Toss everything in a blender and run until smooth. Pour into a glass and garnish with some apple slices and a pinch of cinnamon. If you are a lucky owner of salted caramel, feel free to put some on top. This definitely will elevate the drink to new heights.
Get a real autumn explosion
The second recipe is a combination of sweet, bright, thick, and creamy. Meet the butternut squash fall smoothie. This one will surely shake up the game with its wonderful mild sweetness and velvetiness.
Combine 250 ml of almond milk (or other plant-based drink of your choice) and 125 ml of water. Then the star of the drink – 1 ½ cups of butternut squash. Add some colourful fruits as 1 cup frozen strawberries or raspberries (it’s easier to take these ingredients by volume), and 1 banana. Add some spice such as 1 tsp cinnamon, and 1 pinch of salt. Blend until smooth. Adjust sweetness to taste and texture by adding more milk or an extra banana.
