This cake recipe is lighter than a traditional cake, it contains good quality fibre, vitamins and energy. Nonetheless, you’ll see that it tastes just as good!
Ingredients
- 180 g plain yogurt
- 120 g brown sugar
- 200 g flour
- 100 g oat flakes
- 2 eggs
- 100 ml sunflower oil
- 1 packet vanilla sugar
- 2 pears
- 1 vanilla pod
- 1 packet baking powder
- 50 g dark chocolate

Instructions
- Mix the yogurt, flour, oats, sugar, vanilla sugar and baking powder in a bowl.
- Add the eggs, sunflower oil and mix with a whisk to form a smooth dough.
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (160°C if using a fan oven).
- Wash the pears and cut them in half lengthwise. Remove the core with the seeds (no need to peel them).
- Chop the chocolate into chips and split the vanilla pod to remove the inside.
- Add vanilla extract and chocolate chips to the mixture.
- Place baking paper in a 25 cm cake tin and pour the cake mixture into the cake tin.
- Place the 4 pear halves vertically at an equal distance in the mixture.
- Bake for about 35-40 minutes
