No barbecue is complete without a delicious sauce to accompany it! But forget about those store-bought sauces, we’re offering you a quick and easy homemade version. It will delight all your guests and will pleasantly surprise them.
Ingredients
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 onion (big or 2 small ones)
- 100 g tomato paste
- 2 dL water
- 1 tbsp sunflower oil
- 1 cm chopped chilli small
- 1 tbsp grounded paprika
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 4 tbsp maple syrup
- 1 tbsp vinegar
- 1 pinch salt

Instructions
- Finely chop the garlic clove and the onion.
- Heat the sunflower oil in a frying pan over medium heat and add the onion, chilli and paprika.
- Add the garlic and stir for a few moments, then add the water.
- Add the tomato paste and mix well.
- Add the soy sauce, maple syrup, vinegar and pinch of salt.
- Lower the heat and simmer for 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Remove from the heat and blend the sauce and leave to cool.
